1/ CRACKPOT HOT CHOCOLATE

Hot Chocolate is a staple winter treat. There is nothing like a steaming mug of hot chocolate and a good book on a chilly winter evening. While you are reading, you can add the ingredients to a crackpot and forget all about it. Later, your steaming, yummy mug of hot chocolate would be ready for you to enjoy. It is very easy!

Serves: 5

Ingredients:

  • 5 Cups Almond Milk
  • 1 Cup Warm Water
  • 1/2 Cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar

Procedure:

  1. Mix together all the ingredients in a saucepan or a jug.
  2. Add to a ready crackpot.
  3. Cook on high for 2 hours.
  4. Pour into cups and enjoy!

2/ MOCHA ICE CREAM SHAKE

This is an amazing shake that smells and tastes just like the one you get at any popular cafe.

Serves: 2

Ingredients:

  • 4 Scoops Mocha Ice-cream
  • 2/3 Cups Almond Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Grated Dark Chocolate
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Dark Cocoa Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Instant Coffees
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/8 Teaspoon Almond Extract
  • Whipped Coconut Cream (optional)

Procedure:

  1. Take two tall glasses and add one scoop of ice-cream per glass. Transfer to a freezer.
  2. In a blender, combine together all the ingredients (apart from whipped cream and save half the grated chocolate)
  3. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  4. Retrieve the glasses from the freezer and pour the milkshake over the ice-cream.
  5. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle grated chocolate on top.
  6. Enjoy!

3/ WHITE HOT CHOCOLATE

There are many people that actually prefer white chocolate to regular dark or milk chocolate. Usually it is thought that white chocolate is a no-go on a vegan diet because it is mostly milk based. However, if you are a white chocolate lover, there is good news. This vegan recipe nearly replicates the taste of white chocolate in a creamy hot drink.

Serves: 1

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Almond Milk
  • 2 Tablespoons Vegan Cream
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Stevia to Taste
  • A Pinch of Powdered Cinnamon
  • A Pinch of Salt

Procedure:

  1. In a mug, whisk together cream, vanilla extract, salt, stevia and some milk.
  2. When frothy, add in the rest of the almond milk.
  3. Sprinkle cinnamon on top.
  4. Microwave for about a minute.
  5. Enjoy warm!
